Earl McCoy, immediate past President of Dwight Rotary Club (July 2025-June 2026) and a Paul Harris Fellow, accepted on behalf of the Dwight Rotary Club membership from Rotary International’s President Arezzo of Ragusa, Italy, the “Club Excellence Award”.  The “Club Excellence Award” is the most significant recognition available to clubs from Rotary International.  This is likely only the second “Rotary Club Excellence Award” achieved by the Dwight Rotary Club since being chartered in 1938.

This award is based on selecting and achieving goals focused on membership retention, service project participation, sponsoring new members, Rotary Action Groups, leadership development, district conference attendance, Rotary Fellowship, district training, annual fund contributions, PolioPlus contributions, major gifts, estate bequests, estate benefactors, service projects, Interact Clubs, inbound youth exchange, outbound youth exchange, Rotary Youth Leadership, strategic plan, online presence, social activities, website/social media, media coverage and use of Rotary promotional materials.

President Arezzo of Rotary International also sent a letter to immediate Past President McCoy and Dwight Rotary Club members:
