Sharon K. Francis, age 74, of Dwight and formerly of Robinson, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Visitation was held from 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, Illinois. Funeral services will be private for the family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials in honor of Sharon may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society, 21179 N, 1358 E 1358 N Road, Pontiac, Illinois 61764. Hager Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements. Sharon was born July 3, 1947 in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of John and Peggy (Rowe) Richardson. She married Joel Francis July 31, 1965. He survives in Dwight, Illinois. Also surviving are her children, Laura (Joe) Dolan of Washington, Illinois, and John (Carrie) Francis of Joliet, Illinois; grandchildren: Nicholas Dolan and Alexander (Sami) Dolan, both of East Peoria, Illinois; Bailey Dolan of Washington, Illinois; Victoria Francis of Coal City, Illinois; Aria Francis of the United Kingdom; Jacob and Samantha of Joliet. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Eddie Larsen. Sharon graduated from Robinson High School in Robinson, Illinois. She was a correctional officer at the Dwight Correctional Center for 13 years. She enjoyed taking motorcycle rides and traveling and camping. She loved spending time with friends and family.
