Pamela J. Swyndro (nee Seabert), age 75, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jim; son, Brian; brothers: Larry (Shirley) Seabert, Todd Seabert, and Doug Seabert; sister, Lynne (Bryan) Barber; numerous nieces and nephews; her rescue dog, Katy; and many dear quilting friends. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, June and Ford Seabert; and her grandparents. Pam graduated from Dwight Township High School in 1964, and was valedictorian. She received her Associates Degree from Illinois Central College, and worked in the accounting department for the Village of Mokena from 1999 until 2016. Pam was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox. She had a gift for quilting, and was a founding member of the Manhattan-Elwood quilt group. She was also a member of Ryan’s Case for Smiles, and made numerous personal items for those deployed overseas through Operation Care Package. Pam was known to have volunteered her time serving others at the food pantry in Manhattan. She loved all the dogs she and Jim had over the years. Pam appreciated the outdoors and visited many places, including Yellowstone. She also enjoyed hiking/backpacking throughout the Carolinas on the Appalachian Trail, the California Pacific Crest Trail, and biking extensively on the Katy Trail in Missouri. Pam left a lasting impact on those she met throughout her life and will be dearly missed. Visitation for Pam was Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home in Manhattan. Her funeral service followed at 7:00 p.m. Private interment took place in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery the following morning. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pam’s name to P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park would be most appreciated. Arrangements were en-trusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
