David A. Fromherz is charged with three counts of Child Pornography and Dissemination (Class X Felony)

The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 5 officials have announced the arrest of David A. Fromherz, a 51-year old male from Dwight, for seven counts of Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography. Beginning in early January 2021, ISP DCI Zone 3 and Zone 5 Investigators continued an ongoing proactive investigation with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Through the course of the investigation, Zone agents were able to locate evidence that supported the possession of and internet activity related to the dissemination of child pornography.

The Livingston County State’s Attorney filed seven-count information charging Fromherz with three counts of Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony), one count of Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class 1 Felony), and three counts of Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony) after a search warrant was executed at Fromherz’s residence in Dwight on September 29. Fromherz was taken into custody and transported to the Livingston County Jail where his bond was set at $1,000,000, 10% to apply. ISP DCI Zone 3 and 5 Agents conducted the investigation with the assistance of the Dwight Police Department and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
