Morris Hospital Board Adds New Members
July 13, 2026, MORRIS, IL –The Board of Directors at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers has announced the appointment of two new board members: Pete Fleming, of Minooka, and Jay McCracken, of Ottawa.
Serving in a volunteer capacity, Morris Hospital board members are responsible for providing oversight and governance to ensure quality care, strategic direction, oversight for hospital policies and financial matters, and adherence to the hospital’s mission. Members are nominated to the board by current board members.
Fleming is the Managing Broker and Owner of Marquette Properties, Inc., a Morris-based real estate
brokerage company. A lifelong resident of Grundy and Kendall counties, he and his wife, Sara, have two children in the Minooka School District. He is an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Minooka Lions Club, and a volunteer baseball coach.
McCracken currently serves as Executive Director of the Ottawa Area Chamber of
Commerce following a 46-year career in education that included teacher, regional offices coordinator, principal and superintendent. With a strong history of leadership in government service, civic affairs, and community involvement, McCracken currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Illinois Valley Community College. He and his wife, Kim, are proud parents and grandparents who are deeply rooted in the local community.
Morris Hospital Board Chair Noreen Dollinger said both Fleming and McCracken are excellent additions to the board.
“Pete Fleming has been an outstanding leader in community service in the Minooka and Channahon area for many years and is committed to improving our region,” said Dollinger. “We are also looking forward to having Jay McCracken on the board, who brings a wealth of experience from the Ottawa area that will be helpful as we continue to strengthen our commitment to providing health care services in LaSalle County.”
Also serving on the Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers’ Board of Directors with Dollinger, Fleming and McCracken are Kevin Olson, Steven Banghart, Dr. Patrick Halloran, Dr. Mary Fitzgibbon, Janis Hedenschoug, Dr. Gina Hulbert, Dr. Michael Jachec, and Michelle Pruim.
