1 out of 6 kids in eastern Illinois faces hunger. For millions of kids across America, when school is out, meals disappear. Weekends, holidays, and summer break can bring uncertainty about where their next meal will come from.

Today, Eastern Illinois Foodbank is joining Nourish the American Dream, a nationwide movement launched by the Albertsons Companies Foundation around a shared goal to nourish every child’s potential. From July 1–7, every dollar donated supports our mission and contributes to Nourish the American Dream‘s collective $5 million goal to help more children access the food they need to grow and thrive.
