(June 25, 2026 | Streator, IL) – OSF HealthCare, in collaboration with Mendota Area Senior Services and the Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging, is offering a free eight-week program designed to help adults reduce their fear of falling and stay active.
“A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls” will take place at the OSF Center for Health, located at 111 Spring St., Streator, in the Community Education Center.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m. on the following dates:
August 4, 11, 18 and 25 and September 1, 8, 15 and 22.
This evidence-based program is designed to help participants:
• Better understand their risk of falling
• Build confidence in their ability to stay active
• Learn practical strategies to prevent falls
• Improve strength and balance through guided activities
The program is ideal for adults who may have concerns about falling or who have limited their activities because of those concerns.
Participation is free, but class size is limited. Registration is required and participants are encouraged to reserve a spot by Friday, July 24.
