FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR EDUCATION OR MILITARY ENLISTMENT
EDUCATION:
The Dwight VFW Auxiliary Post 2608 is pleased to offer financial assistance to current or former Dwight Township High School graduates who are veterans or immediate family members of veterans pursuing a college degree or technical training. This fund supports students in achieving their educational goals while minimizing student loan debt.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a current or former DTHS graduate with an immediate family member who served in the military (parent, step parent, grandparent, or sibling).
- Must submit a DD 214 if the applicant or qualifying family member is no longer in service, or a copy of a military ID if the applicant is currently active duty.
- Must provide proof of enrollment at a technical school, junior college, or university.
- May reapply annually with updated proof of enrollment.

Application Deadline:
- April 15, 2026, for the 2025–2026 academic year.

If you are a current or former DTHS graduate entering military service, please contact Marcia Drach at marciadrach@hotmail.com to fill out an application for financial assistance which will be awarded after boot camp. We appreciate your commitment to serving our country and are proud to offer support for expenses such as travel during leave or other service-related needs.
