DWIGHT, IL July 29, 2026. — The Village of Dwight Emergency Medical Services is now accepting applications for a full-time EMT-Basic position.

The position offers a starting salary ranging from $43,128 to $46,468 and includes employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, an IMRF pension, generous paid time off, paid working holidays, and access to a 457(b) deferred compensation plan.

Full-time EMTs work a 12-hour Pitman schedule. Dwight EMS is a 911 emergency service and does not perform interfacility transfers. Department personnel operate modern ambulances equipped with advanced technology, including Zoll X Series cardiac monitors, LUCAS mechanical CPR devices, Stryker Power-PRO cots, and Stryker Power-LOAD systems.

The position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement currently in effect through March 31, 2028.

• A current Illinois EMT-Basic license
• Ability to test into the Region 7 Morris Hospital EMS System
• A current American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR card
• A valid Illinois Class D driver’s license
