MORRIS, IL — A 35-year-old Chicago man died Saturday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash in Grundy County. 

Grundy County Coroner John Callahan identified the victim as Adam C. Gnutek.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 25, on Illinois Route 47, just south of Southmore Road. Emergency crews transported Gnutek from the crash site to Morris Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 4:00 p.m. 

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is leading the crash investigation, while the Coroner’s Office continues its inquiry into the cause of death.
