A pre-meal prayer was given by Nancy Johnson and the meal was catered by Hoffman House through Community Nutrition Nework and served by Lisa and her volunteers. Call CNN to make reservation for their dinners.
President Beth Burns opened the meeting at 12:40 with everyone reciting the Pledge to the Flag and a moment of silence. Beth talked about the history of the flag and flag day.
Secretary Nancy Johnson read the minutes from last month and were approved with corrections.
Treasurer Shirley Peterson gave her report and was approved.
Birthdays of Bob Elam and Joe Nichols were celebrated.
Coal City is having USA 250 celebration activities Saturday, June 10.
Next month, July, will be free and food will be pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, salad, etc. Beth Burns is bringing birthday cake. We will have a speaker at the meeting talking sbout the Mazon Sesquicentenial activities in August.
Door prizes were won by Joe, Joe, and Shirley. Next meeting will be July 21 at noon, same place.
A motion to adjourn was unanimous.
Euchre and Bingo were enjoyed.
