Floyd D. Irvin, 82, of Dwight, Illinois passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is handling arrangements. Floyd was born in Odell, Illinois on January 27, 1940, a son of Hamilton and Francis (Horton) Irvin. He married Betty Miller. She preceded him in death. Surviving are his four children: Floyd Dean (Jesika) of Campus, Illinois; Penny (Vern) Arnold of Reddick, Illinois; Ed (Tonya) Irvin of Ellsworth, Illinois; and Marion (Sandy) Irvin of Dwight, Illinois. Twelve grandchildren; 15 great – grandchildren; and brothers, John, Richard and Ronald; and sisters, Betty and Carolyn, also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, William, Jim, Lloyd and Donald; and three great-grandchildren. Floyd was a member of the Dwight Methodist Church. He served in the United States Air Force; and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
