Carol A. Fritz, 90, of Dwight, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at Heritage Health and Rehab in Dwight, Illinois. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hager Memorial Home with Father William Keebler officiating. A visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., preceding the service. Burial followed the service in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, rural Cabery, Illinois. Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, was in charge of arrangements. Carol was born March 2, 1932, in Buckingham, Illinois, the daughter of William and Alice (Casey) Frederick. She married Clarence Fritz on February 13, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2005. She is survived by her children: Melita LaFrance of Bourbonnais; Eileen Wynne of Venice, Florida; Gail Fritz of Brookfield; Jon (Sue) Fritz of Bethel, Minnesota; Jerald (Shari) Fritz of Bourbonnais; Kurt (Alicia Horrie) Fritz of Dwight; Lynn Webster of Herscher; Dean (Krystal) Fritz of Bourbonnais; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Joe Fritz; two sisters, Blanche Westphal and Pauline Jensen; one brother, Thomas Frederick; and son-in-law, John LaFrance. Carol worked at Country Table for three years and Ma Brown’s Cafe for 12 years. She was a tech at the Fox Center for 10 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Foster Grandparent Program through the Fox Center. She was a member of the Dwight Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary group. She loved playing cards and bingo. She took pride in her flower gardens. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
