Paul S. Hansen, 66, died on September 21, 2022 at his home in Sienna, Missouri City, Texas, after battling cancer. Paul was born March 21, 1956, the son of Elton and Jeannine Hansen of Odell, Illinois. He grew up playing sports and graduated from Odell High School in 1974. He attended Illinois State University, and after graduating moved to Texas. He began a career at the Port of Houston in vessel planning. After 42 years, Paul recently retired from Texas Stevedoring Services. Paul married Faith Amini Fard on November 19, 2017. They enjoyed traveling and building a new home together. They also built a new hair salon for Faith. He loved her dearly. Paul is survived by his wife, Faith, and two step-children, a son, Shahin, and daughter, Shahrzad. He has a brother, Mark Hansen, of Pflugerville, Texas, and a sister, Jan Gall, of Odell, Illinois. He loved his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother, Neil. He loved the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Chiefs. Paul was full of fun and full of life. He had many good friends. He was respected by his co-workers and all who knew him. He was a Christian and attended Calvary Church in Missouri City. Paul’s favorite quote was “No matter what you do, strive to do it the best.” He was cremated. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sawmill Lake Club, 10323 Mount Logan, Missouri City, Texas. A service will be held in Illinois at a later date.
