Sarah Jean Clavey passed away September 16, 2022 in Mazon, Illinois. Sarah was born June 4, 1975 in Morris to Ronald and Janice (Carr) Clavey. Through the years Sarah had lived in many different places, but she always considered Mazon her home. She attended MVK grade school, was a graduate of Seneca High School, Joliet Junior College, and Eastern Illinois University. Through the years she worked as a job recruiter for temporary employment agencies. Sarah had many hobbies; she was an avid crafter and truly loved making gifts for people. Recently, Sarah became interested in learning more about her genealogy. She also loved all animals, but she was mainly known as the crazy cat lady. Sarah is survived by her parents, Ron and Janice; her children:  Emily (Steven) Harris of Plainfield, Nate and Austen Clavey of Mazon; granddaughter, Lilah Harris of Plainfield; her siblings Kristen (Harold) Webster of Mazon; twin sister Erin (Michael) Gruenholz of Lockport, and Robert (Sofia) Clavey of Bourbonnais. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; her special friends, Paul Kania, Allison Johnson, and Amy Parish. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Homer and Gerry Carr, and Robert and Betty Clavey. A visitation for Sarah will be held October 1, 2022, at the American Legion in Mazon, Illinois, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Sarah’s life will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m., with dinner and refreshments afterward. Aqua cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made in Sarah’s honor to the MVK Rescue Squad, Just Animals Shelter of Mazon, Illinois, or Autism Speaks.
