Marceline M. Herb of Dwight, Illinois and formerly of Campus, Illinois passed away at 2:55 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Heritage Health in Dwight, Illinois. Cremation rites were accorded and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. Memorials in Marceline’s name may be made to the Uplifted Care of Bourbonnais, Illinois. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is handling arrangements. Marceline was born May 1, 1929 in Cabery, Illinois, a daughter of Albert and Marie (Stickle) Roggenburg. She married Carl Herb September 30, 1950 in Cabery, Illinois. He passed away April 3, 2020. Surviving are one brother-in-law, Bob (Darlene) Herb of Lemont, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Shirley Roggenburg of Cabery; nephews, Rob (Susie) Roggenburg of Reddick, Illinois; Rick (Faith) Roggenburg of Kankakee; Rob (Carrie) Herb of Hawaii; and niece, Melonie (Tony) Terazas of Lemont, Illinois. Marceline was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Roggenburg; and one sister-in-law, Betty Herb. Marceline loved to travel and was a meticulous planner of family vacations. She traveled all over the United States and the World, often taking her mother and high school friends with her. She was a talented artist and made personalized holiday cards. She worked program analysis for the federal government from 1952 to 1985. She graduated from Reddick High School in 1947. She was a member of the Cabery, Illinois United Methodist Church.
