Kristi Sue Gschwendtner, age 53, of Dwight, Illinois passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Dwight, Illinois. Visitation was held from 4 until 7 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, Illinois. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight, followed the services. Memorials in honor of Kristi may be made to Lightways Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight was in charge of arrangements. Kristi was born July 26, 1968 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Wayne and Claudia Sue (Johnson) Kinkade. She married Louis J. Gschwendtner on May 26, 1990 in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dwight, Illinois. He survives in Dwight. Also surviving are her children: Melissa Sue (Daniel) Hansen and Rachel Nicole Gschwendtner, both of Dwight; her father, Wayne Kinkade; sisters: Brittany (Josh) Bergeson of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; Tiffany (Edgar) Nevarez of Madison, Wisconsin; and a grandchild, William Louis Hansen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother. Kristi worked for Riverside Medical Center for more than 26 years in the electronic medical records department, a part of the “epic team.” She also worked just after high school for Dr. Philomena Francis in her medical office in Dwight. Kristi enjoyed spending time by the lake at the family cabin in Wisconsin; watching the Chicago Cubs; planting flowers around the house in the spring after her visit to Vilt’s; and loved spending time with friends and family.
