Isaac “Ike” Thomas, age 75, of Pontiac, Illinois passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Accolade Nursing Home in Pontiac, Illinois.
He was born January 6, 1947 in Shreveport, LA to Isaac and Ida Mae Thomas.
He married twice; the first marriage gave him two children (Dee Dee and Michael) and there were none with the second marriage. Later he shared his life with Barbara Rose, and they had a son together, Kennon James Rose. They survive in Flanagan, Illinois.
Ike began his career at the Bettendorf, Iowa Caterpillar plant, and later transferred to Caterpillar in Pontiac, Illinois. He retired after 36 years.
Ike was active with the Shriners and Masons, loved fishing, playing cards, bowling, playing corn hole and lotto, and the Chicago sports teams.
He regularly attended the Pontiac Baptist Church in Pontiac, Illinois.
Ike is survived by two sons, Michael/Anita of Pontiac, Illinois and Kennon/Katelyn of Flanagan, Illinois; and one daughter, Dee Dee. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Olivia and Justina Thomas and Emelia Eitenmiller; honorary step-daughter (Nena) Josh Eitenmiller; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
