Richard Clinton “Steve” Stevens, age 76, of Odell passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. A private burial was held in Southside Cemetery, Pontiac, Illinois. Memorials in honor of Steve may be made to the Samaritans Purse. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is in charge of arrangements. Steve was born April 4, 1945 in Laconia, NH, the son of Clinton Oaks and Dorothy (DeCelles) Stevens. He married Christa Ann Hecht on July 11, 1970 in California. She survives in Odell, Illinois. Also surviving are Amy (Frank) Lasser of Dwight; brother, Paul (Jean) Stevens of Virginia; sister, Rosemary (Larry) Drake of NH Laconia, Maggie DeCoster of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and grandchildren, Asa Mackenzie, Frank, Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marie Marceau. Steve served his country in the United States Air Force.
