DWIGHT – Lois J. Ely, 91, of Dwight, Illinois passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements. Lois was born August 31, 1930 in Morris, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Lena (Laase) Ely Sr. She is survived by five nieces and nephews: Bruce (Ann) Konzelman of Glen Ellyn; Phyllis (Lewis) Koranda of Morton; Bill (Donna) Skonetski of Pontiac; Donna Olsen of Dixon; and Judy (Burl) Townsend of Dwight; many great nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; five sisters, Elizabeth Konzelman, Helen Bolte, Lorraine Ely, Marge Ingram, and Barbara Legner; and two brothers, William Ely and Charles Ely Jr. Lois graduated from Dwight Township High School. She was an accountant and bookkeeper who retired from Rodosky Accounting in Dwight. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of several groups at the Congregational Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time at various family sporting events and school activities. She will be greatly missed.
