Janice was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a 1959 Dwight Township High School graduate, who attended Silver Cross nursing school after graduation. However, nursing was not to be her final calling. While raising her children she had several occupations during her life, including waitress, upholsterer, caregiver and Mary Kay consultant. Janice’s real passion was horticulture. She received eleven associate degrees, and several certificates from Joliet Junior College in Horticulture and Interior Design, and continued her education at University of Illinois, Champaign. Using these talents, she taught Agricultural Math for two years at JJC, and worked for several landscape nurseries before starting her own landscape design business. Besides tending her flower gardens, and spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Movie Channel and the Golf Channel. Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice. This obituary may be viewed and guestbook signed at www.hagermemorial.com
