Lorraine Simpson, 95, of Largo, Florida joined her loved ones in her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Largo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Benard Simpson (deceased September 12, 2011); her son, James Robert Simpson; her daughter, Donna Lee (Daniel) Tope; and seven siblings. She is survived by three daughters:  Sharon (Robert deceased 2005) Andersen of Largo, Florida; Mary Ann (Phillip) Faust of Sugar Grove, IL; and Patricia (James) Kingsbury of Aurora, IL; one sister, Edith (Harvey) Grieff of Odell, IL; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Eugene) Waldschmidt of Geneva, IL and Julie (Bernie) Waldschmidt of Odell, IL; and one brother-in-law, Larry (Norma) Limberg of Pontiac, IL. She was a very proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was born February 26, 1926 in Minonk, Illinois to Peter and Edith Waldschmidt. Bob and Lorraine were married on January 8, 1946. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before Bob passed away. Bob and Lorraine had lived in several different homes and traveled a lot over the years and as a result have a multitude of friends throughout the states. They retired in 1983 and moved to Largo, Florida. They had a wonderful retirement and formed lasting relationships with others in their retirement community, where Lorraine resided at the time of her death. Her eldest daughter, Sharon, joined Lorraine in her home in 2013 and became her caregiver the last two years until Lorraine’s death. A Celebration of Life for Bob and Lorraine will be held on August 14 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Odell, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. Contributions in memory of Lorraine may be sent to either of the following (please include Lorraine’s name): Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760; or St. Paul Catholic School, 300 S.
