Linda (Call) Gutel, 72, of Benson, Vermont passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at her residence where she lived with her son and his family. She was born August 10, 1948 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of William and Helen (Michaels) Call. After high school, she attended cosmetology school and operated a beauty shop for several years while raising her children. Linda lived for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed coffee, singing, playing cards, reading, painting, and visiting with family and friends. She will be remembered for her love for her family, her quick wit, and her sense of humor. She is survived by her son, Mark of Benson, VT; a daughter, Christina of the US Virgin Islands; and seven grandchildren: Mark, Jr., Ian, Ailani, Braeden, Sarah, Mason and Noah. She is also survived by two sisters, Beverly (Robert) Parker of Dwight and Kelly (Roy) Tisdale of Shorewood; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lori Call. A celebration of life event will be held Saturday, March 20, at 1 p.m. at the VFW Post 2608 in Dwight. Light refreshments and coffee will be offered. Masks will be required.
