Joshua M. Newell, 28, of Dwight, IL passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 11:56 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. Joshua was born October 1, 1992, the son of Albert and Kathy (Hill) Newell. Survivors include:  his mother; sister, Amanda Hill of Dwight, IL; children: Autumn and Benjamin Newell of Dwight, IL; and his best friend, Corey Watson; and a special buddy, Robin. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Dale and Phyllis Hill of Essex; and his Aunt Sherry Teague. Joshua was educated at Dwight High School. He enjoyed going to Chicago Bulls games, going to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs, attending concerts, and was a big fan of the LA Rams. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone. He loved talking to his son, Ben, about PlayStation games and superheroes, and talking to his daughter, Autumn, about Roblox. He very much loved his children. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his dog, Riley. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
