William “Bill” Eaton Sr., age 86, formerly of Joliet/ Lockport area and longtime member of Painter’s Union Local 33, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, December 05, 2020 at home with loved ones at his side. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence (Jungles); brother, Earl (Marion); sister, Florency; first wife, Donna (Rickerman); second wife, Shirley (Emperor-Tarrant); and son, Dale. Bill is survived by brothers: Joe (Pauline) of Joliet; Melvin of Dundee-FL; sons, William (Jan) Eaton Jr., Gerald (Michelle) Emperor, Randy (Sie) Eaton, Denny (Doris) Emperor, Brian (Jane) Eaton, John (Lin) Emperor; daughter, Julie Eaton; along with 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial will be planned post pandemic. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Lake Wales Ridge (FL) office of National Wildlife Refuge or to any Dementia support services of your choice in Bill’s memory. Bill, a big man with a big kind heart and gentle nature, will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him. May he forever rest in peace.
