Linda Mae Housman, age 63, of Emington passed away with her family by her side Monday, November 24, 2020 at OSF St. James Medical Center in Pontiac, IL. She was born January 6, 1957 in Morris, IL to the late Harold and Charlotte (nee Goldsberry) Gonis. She enjoyed arts and crafts, antique collecting, and spending time at the family campground, “Rancho.” She was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Linda had a heart of gold. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met, and family was everything to her. Spending time with her grand-babies was her favorite hobby. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Martin Joseph Housman of Emington, whom she married February 12, 1977 in Braceville; two children, Martin (Sarah) Housman II of Emington and Steven (Andrea) Housman of Emington; five grandchildren: Brady, Belle, Landon, Chase, and Hunter; one sister, Donna (Larry) Goad of Braidwood; five brothers: Harold (Kathy) Gonis of Braceville; Jimmy (Shereena) Gonis of Steeleville, IL; Bobby (Anita) Gonis of Wilmington; Roger Gonis of Braidwood; and Kenny Gonis of Gardner; brother-in-law, Gary Krug of Braidwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; and one sister, Doris Krug. Visitation for Linda was at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Monday, November 30, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. All attendees were required to wear face coverings and to be brief with condolences to allow other guests to pay their final respects, due to the capacity requirements.
