David L. Ribordy, 65, of Odell passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 11:07 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family burial will take place in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Odell. David was born February 24, 1955 in Pontiac, IL, the son of Joe and Joann (Bartman) Ribordy. He is survived by his brothers: Don (Lindy) Ribordy of Odell; Rich (Denise) Ribordy of Odell; John Ribordy of Odell; Paul (Patty) Ribordy of Odell; and Daniel (Joanne) Ribordy of Kinsman; and one sister, Mary (Jim) Ross of Ransom. He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Jessica; a sister-in-law, Peggy; his maternal grandparents, Ed and Josephine Bartman; and his paternal grandparents, Leo and Irene Ribordy. Dave spent most of his career tiling and excavating. He enjoyed fishing, especially at Lake of the Ozarks, and helping on the farm. He was a past member of the Odell Fire Department and an EMT for many years. Memorials may be made in Dave’s name to the Odell Fire Department or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
