Bro. David H. Pierce, 84, of Franklin, Kentucky died Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 1, at 11 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church, Franklin, Kentucky, with Bro. Tom Otto and Bro. Mark Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Sulphur Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Nicholas Pierce, Jared Pierce, Kyle Perry, Justin Pierce, Landon Pierce and Josh Collett served as pallbearers. A native of Clovis, New Mexico, he was the son of the late Victor Pierce and Blanche DeLozier Pierce. Bro. Pierce had preached for more than 50 years, the last 35 years at Faith Baptist Church in Franklin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Surviving are his wife, Gay Pierce of Franklin; children: Michael (Jamie) Pierce of Dwight, Illinois; Mark (Lerinda) Pierce of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Patti (Kent) Perry of Franklin; grandchildren: Nicholas (Alisha) Pierce, Jared (Jenna) Pierce, Justin Pierce, Heather (Josh) Collett, Kacie Perry and Kyle (Katie) Perry; and great-grandchildren: Grace, Landon, Brody, Kennedy and Dakota Pierce; Grayson, Carter and Ava Collett; and Angelina and Nova Bradley. The family has requested that memorial gifts be made to Faith Baptist Academy, 1008 West Cedar Street, Franklin, Kentucky 42134. Services were in care of Crafton Funeral Home of Franklin, Kentucky.
