Michael E. Watters, 67, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Dwight, passed away on September 16, 2020. Mike was born on March 3, 1953 in Galesburg, IL to Winfield and Dorothy “Tootie” Watters. He worked in sales all his life, and loved fishing and hunting. Mike is survived by his mother, Tootie Watters of Dwight; his brother, Mark (Diana) Watters of Dwight; a nephew, Chris (Kathy) Watters of Merrionette Park, IL; a niece, Alyssa (Kevin) Kucera of Dwight; and his great nephews and niece, Sawyer, Harper and Callan Kucera. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Winfield Watters. Mike’s friend, Duane “Boots” Brusnighan, was a great help to Mike during his illness, and the family will be forever grateful to him. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.
