Lee S. Christopher, 85, of Dwight passed away in his home August 6, 2020 with his family at his side. Born February 6, 1935 in Dwight, Illinois he was the son of the late Elmer and Artell (Snider) Christopher. Lee was raised and educated in Dwight and attended McCormick Business College in Joliet. He served in the Illinois National Guard for several years. Farming was something Lee enjoyed doing for many years in the Gardner and Dwight area. He also worked as a guard at Pontiac Correctional Center, as well as driving a truck for several years. Throughout his life he sold cars for his father and eventually owned his own dealership in Chenoa. On July 3, 1962 he married Gladys Petersen and together they lived in rural Dwight. Surviving are his wife; and three children: William of Chicago; Steve (Angie) Taylor of Seneca; and Gary Taylor of Dwight. Preceding him in death was one brother, Kenneth. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the family would like to plan a memorial service celebrating Lee’s life at a later date.
