DWIGHT – Thomas M. Lund, 65, of Dwight passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 p.m. at his residence in Dwight, IL. His funeral service was held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, IL with Rev. Chrissy Salser officiating. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites were accorded after services. Memorials in Tom’s name may be made to the family. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight handles the arrangements. Tom “Thumb” was born on December 4, 1955 in Streator, IL, a son of Henry and Edith (Hollis) Lund. He married Kimberly “Kim” (Wiener) on July 7, 2003 in Pontiac, IL. Survivors include his wife, Kim; one son, Branden Pettit; his father, Henry Lund, all of Dwight; six brothers and sisters: Beverly Esposito, Pontiac, IL; William (Deb) Lund, Dwight, IL; Todd (Amy) Lund, Kankakee, IL; Kathi (Dave) Dockstader, Somonauk, IL; Chris Andersen, Florida; and John Lund, Springfield, IL; and nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Theodore Lund; his grandparents: Ira and Eathel Hollis, and Theodore and Maren Lund. Tom graduated from Dwight Township High School and became a cook for Phil’s Harvest Table Restaurant, Turtle’s Tap Restaurant, and Station 343 in Dwight, IL. Tom was loved and will be deeply missed.
