ODELL – Eleanor Honora Sheeran, nee Nelson, age 93, passed away on February 5, 2020 in her home in Odell, IL. She was born on September 18, 1926 in Chicago, IL. She married her late husband James F. Sheeran, Jr. on September 18, 1948. She is survived by her children, Frances (James) Schle-singer, Margaret (Michael) Hanrahan, James III (Diane), Kevin (Diane), Patrick (Susan), John (Eva), Thomas (Sigrid), Francis, Norah (Dennis) Bowers, Marie Herum, Barbara Kliceva, and Renee Sheeran; 38 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Sheeran, Jr.; all of her siblings; and two grandchildren, Kathleen Sheeran and Brian Cherba. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m., on Thursday, February 13, at Andrew J. McGann & Sons Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski, Chicago, IL. Funeral Mass will be held at Christ Our Savior Parish (St. Jude Campus), 880 E. 154th St., South Holland, IL at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 14. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
