ParrishDIAMOND – John Parrish, 75, of Diamond passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehab Center in Joliet. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, July 20, from 3 until 8 p.m. at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Noesen officiating. Interment: Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, Brace-ville. Serving as pallbearers: Ryan Rodgers, Nikolas Parrish, Tanner Harmon, Tom Thompson, Steve Heitke and Doug Mandat. Honorary pallbearers: Sebastian Parrish, Pat Duffy, Mike Duffy, Jim Cole and Bill Favero. John was born July 20, 1940 in Rockville Township, son of Elmer and Bernice Howard Parrish. He was a member of Laborer’s Union Local #75 in Crest Hill. He retired from D Construction in Coal City. He worked hard all of his life, growing up in the blacktop business, working with his father and brothers for Parrish Blacktop. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #241 in Wilmington. John was an avid NASCAR fan. He was equally passionate about golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Sandy Jaicomo Parrish, who he married December 16, 1983 in Morris; two sons: Jeff Parrish and Todd (Heather) Parrish, both of Coal City; a daughter, Melissa (Mike) Good of Channahon; nine grandchildren: Ryan Rodgers, Nikolas Parrish, Tanner Harmon, Kelsey Good, Brittni Brenner, Michael Good, Danielle Good, Brianna Brenner, and Sebastian Parrish. Also surviving are three brothers: Don (Susie) Parrish and Richard (Ginnie) Parrish of Wilmington; and Mike (Jan)  Parrish of Channahon; seven sisters: Bonnie (Bill) Favero, Barb (Pat) Duffy, Bev (Mike) Duffy, Peggy (Jim) Cole, Linda (Doug) Mandat, Lillie (Steve) Heitke and Donna (Tom)  Thompson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Annie Jaicomo of Essex; and many other relatives and friends.
