Shelah J. Oelschlager, 47, of Dwight, Illinois passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at her residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials and cards may be sent to the family at: 9955 S. Dwight Road, Dwight, Illinois 60420. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is handling arrangements. Shelah was born March 9, 1975 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Connie (Johnson) Oelschlager. She is survived by her mother, Connie Oelschlager; her siblings: Steve Oelschlager, Kevin (Jackie) Oelschlager, Paul (Misti) Oelschlager, Shari Breeden, Joel (Tiffanie) Oelschlager, and Lisa (Josh) Stevenson. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Elizabeth (Justin) Leithliter, Kevin Oelschlager, Jr., Samuel Oel-schlager, Simon Oelschlager, Gracie Oelschlager, Trevor Breeden, Lily Oelschlager, Selah Oelschlager, Kaia Oelschlager, and Zach Stevenson; great – nieces and great – nephews: Michael, Chloe and Serenity; and her special friend, Jason Garcia. Shelah was preceded in death by her father, Edward Oelschlager; and her grandparents. Shelah was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. She liked to spend time putting together puzzles. She was a baker who loved making sweet treats like brownies. She liked to fish, and enjoyed playing cards. The thing that she enjoyed the most was her family. She spent lots of time with her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
