Elizabeth A. “Betty” Peeke, 96, of Joliet, Illinois passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. A funeral service was held Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hager Memorial Home with Father Chris Haake officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight. A visitation was held one hour preceding the service at the funeral home. Betty was born September 19, 1926, the daughter of Cyrus and Zola (Seabert) Hodgman of Dwight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Peeke, in 1977. She is survived by her nephew, Michael (Meg) Hodgman of Fly Creek, New York, and her niece, Tudy Hodgman – Magnuson of Brentwood, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, James and Leonard Hodgman. Betty graduated from Dwight Township High School in 1944. She was a secretary at Eco Labs for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Joliet Women’s Club; was an avid reader; and loved to play bridge. She was a member of the Inwood Bridge group. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society.
