Charles Earl “Tuna” Palmer, 69, of Reddick, Illinois passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He was born May 5, 1953 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Orville and Dorothy (former Lane) Palmer. He was previously married to Ginger Shelly and had two daughters. Surviving are his loving twin daughters, Renae (Derek) Wishon of Herscher and Trista (John) Botta of Bonfield; and beautiful granddaughters, Alexa and Rayah Botta; one sister, Pat Wilson of Manteno; and niece, Kim  (Trent) Bukowski of Manteno. Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother-in-law, Charles V. Wilson, Jr.; and nephew, Brian S. Wilson. Mr. Palmer was a local farmer and worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Dwight Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing. Tuna never missed his weekly card games and loved to hunt. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Memorial visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Reddick United Methodist Church, Reddick. Following the Memorial Service, there was a Celebration of Life at the Dwight Country Club, Dwight.
