Nancy Anne Rose, 72, of Flanagan, Illinois and formerly of Dwight, Illinois, passed away at 5:40 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2021 at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, Illinois. Nancy was born September 25, 1949 in Streator to Joseph and Goldie Rose. She married Richard Gragert in 1969 and later divorced. She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, John Seabert. Surviving are one son, Chad (Tricia) Gragert of Odell; one granddaughter, Sydney Gragert of Odell; four sisters: Sally Rose (Morris) of Versailles, MO; Mary (Glenn) Seabert of Dwight; Barbara Rose of Flanagan; and Jane (Ed) Hyslop of Gardner; two brothers: Robert (Judith) Rose of Kempton and Dean Rose of Odell. She had several nieces and nephews: Andy, Amy and Anna Capps; Paul, Cari, Neal and Mark Seabert; Sarah, Brian (Maria) and Lora Rose; Deanna and Nicole Rose; Nena (Josh) Eitenmiller; Kennon (Katelyn Devault) Rose; Justin (Heidi), Megan, Brenna (Thomas Harwood), and Josie (Tom Kazale) Hyslop. She also had many great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her constant canine companion, Tucker. Nancy had numerous jobs during her lifetime, some of which included Dwight Correctional Center and The Country Mansion. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very proud of her granddaughter, Sydney, and enjoyed visits with her. She always looked forward to her “Sisters parties.” She was a Christian and had been a member of Dwight United Methodist Church. She was there to help others in need. She was an avid scrabble, canasta and euchre player. A private family service will be held.
