Corinne Michelle Adkins, age 30, late of Dwight, Illinois, loving mother of Kian Laird and Kierawn Raven Ahlstrom – who were her whole world. She was the beloved daughter of Debra Adkins and the late Michael Ashmus; cherished sister of Caitlyn Adkins and Tristian Ashmus; and treasured aunt of Cleo Cryder. Corinne attended Dwight Elementary School and graduated from New Symma Beach, Florida High School. Corinne had many titles, but her favorite was “Mom.” She loved music, Disney movies, Harry Potter, animals, her family and doing activities, or going on adventures with her boys. Corinne always had a smile on her face and lit up a room when she entered. Her sons said their favorite thing to do was to hang out with mom. They also said they loved making cookies with their mom for Santa and leaving carrots for the reindeer. Corinne is survived by her mother, Debra Adkins (Dwight); her sons, Kian and Kierawn; her siblings, Caitlyn Adkins and Tristian Ashmus; her grandmother, Vicky Ashmus; her grandfathers, Mack Adkins and Michael Joyce; her aunts, Janifer (Michael) Burkhardt, Pamela Adkins (Billy Whalen), Tena (Kevin) Ashmus; her uncle Josh (Megan) Ashmus; special cousins: Austen Tankersley, Bailey Tankersley, Landon Burkhardt, Ashton Burkhardt, Kallista Cox, Ethan Cox, Ivy Whalen, Christopher Ashmus, Savannaha Ashmus; and significant other David Goodwin. Corinne was preceded in death by her father, Michael Ashmus; and grandmother, Barbara Joyce. Preferred memorials may be made to the family of Corinne, as her death was unexpected, and the family could use some assistance. A visitation for Corinne was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 at the U. C. Davis – Callahan Funeral Home, located at 301 West Washington Street, Morris, Illinois. A Celebration of Life was held immediately following, at 7:00 p.m. Aqua cremation was accorded after her services. Arrangements have been entrusted with the U. C.
