Frank Oscar Margaron, age 91, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Born in Coal City, IL to the late Oscar Emil and Jean (Stewart) Margaron, Frank was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was the owner of Atlas Construction Services and Universal Building Materials in Joliet; Lifetime Board member of Silver Cross Hospital for 30 years; and also member of New Life Church in New Lenox, the Willow Run Golf League, and many other philanthropic organizations. He is survived by one son, Brett (Patti Bauman) Marga-ron; one daughter, Janet Margaron; granddaughter, Hana (Dan) St. Gean; two grandsons, Frank and Matthew (Elizabeth) Margaron; great-grandchildren: Abigail, Joel and Samuel St. Gean and Alaina, Amani, Kailash, Emma and Leah Margaron; one brother, Donald Lee Margaron; one sister, Edith Clausen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Twilla (Humbert) Margaron; his parents; and one sister, Helen (Ken) Kraft. Visitation was Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at New Life Church, 500 Gouger Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services were Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Private interment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the New Life Church would be appreciated.
