He was currently employed for Tri-State Asphalt in Morris. Mike was an avid New Orleans Saints football fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved working on his truck, but his favorite hobby was spending time with his boys, just hanging out and watching movies. He also loved to watch them play baseball. Surviving are his two sons, Ryan and Zack Bumpous of Dwight, IL; father, Dan (Lucy Fox) Bumpous of Talladega, AL; mother, Karen (Jack Foster) Bumpous of Streator, IL; brother, Jim (April) Bumpous of Diamond, IL, and their children, Katie and Chey; sister, Katie (Christian) Byers of Gardner, and their children, Luca and Reed; girlfriend, Barbie Warriner of Godley, IL, and her son, Devin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, James and Elsie Hoffman; and paternal grandparents, Betty and Curtis Bumpous. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home &  Crematory, Braidwood, Friday, March 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours preceding services.
