Marjorie E. Lauritsen

marjorielauritsenphotoDWIGHT – Marjorie E. Lauritsen, 97, of Dwight passed away at 5:15 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Heritage Health in Dwight.

Marjorie was born in Dwight September 18, 1919, daughter of William and Cora Beiswanger Perschnick. She married LaVerne S. Lauritsen. He passed away November 14, 2011.

She is survived by sons: James (Sandra) Lauritsen of Dwight; Gerald (Peg) Lauritsen of Crown Point, Indiana; daughter, Beverly (Harold) Lund of Dwight; grandchildren: Beckie, Dan, Mick, David, Megan, Jason, Chadd, Tammy and Amy.

Nineteen great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Marjorie was also proceeded in death by her parents; son, Kenny Lauritsen; sisters, Gertrude (Elmer) Mortensen and Lorraine (Norris) Tucker; brothers: Herman (Mildred) Perschnick and Ernie (Rita) Perschnick; and infant granddaughter, Dawn Laritsen.

Marjorie was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Danish Brotherhood.

Her funeral was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 24, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dwight. Rev. Kurt Hoover officiated.

Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight.

There was a one hour visitation preceding the service at the church. The family requested everyone wear casual attire.

Memorials in her name may be left to a charity of the donor’s choice.
