I went to my first Cubs game of the year the other day, and I was able to walk there and back. Chicago is finally starting to feel like home. I also went to Whole Foods and it took me almost 20 minutes just to find the correct ingredients to make tacos. That did not feel like home, and just confirmed to me that Whole Foods is a very confusing place. There have been countless other things that have played off these feelings. I’ll walk into one place and feel like I’ve been there a hundred times before and then the next place I go will seem as if the menu is in a different language. (There have been a few sushi places where this has actually been the case.) Today in my mind, I return to the place that was the staple of my time in college. The library. Just kidding, I never really went there that often. I’m headed back to Moe’s, the place I’ve been to over 200 times. It’s going to be great to go back. It’ll be a quick trip back down memory lane, even though I’ve only been up here a few weeks. It’s also Memorial Day, and as always I want to give a big thank you to everyone who helps maintain the safety of this country on a day-to-day basis. Their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
