03cf9deThis might be my last column ever, it remains undecided if I will continue to do these after I graduate from college, which is coincidentally this week. I did it! I’m going to graduate from college, and earn a degree in the school of communication, with my major being Mass Media: Management Promotion and Sales. I did it in four years. I’m really proud of that fact, just because it’s become increasingly hard to make it out in only four years due to how many credit hours you have to take a semester. I also didn’t change my major at any point during my college career which helped me. I’ve also found employment once I finish things up. I’ve accepted a position at Midwest Equity Mortgage and will be starting there at the end of May. I often hear from people your college years seem to fly by, but I feel like I’ve been here forever. It’s only been four years, but it feels like I’ve been here much longer. If there was one thing that kind of surprised me about school, looking back and reflecting on it, is that it was easy. I faced some stressful points throughout it, but at no point was I really overwhelmed. This is probably an unpopular opinion and take on going to college, but those are just some of my general thoughts about it. It was also the most fun time I’ve ever had, and I grew more as a person in the last four years than I did in the previous 18. It’s a time unlike any other in a young person’s life, and I think I’ll look back in 10 years and agree with that statement even more than I do right now. I did it, I’m employed, and I’m ready to tackle the next chapter. If this is my last column, thank you to everyone who has read these. I really appreciate it.
