Meiferdt(1)COAL CITY – Eileen B. Meiferdt, 50, of Coal City and formerly of Joliet passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Morris Hospital.

Visitation and video tribute will be held Friday, August
7, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 N. Broadway, Coal City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert Noesen Saturday, August 8, at 9:30 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 245 S. Kankakee St., Coal City.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.

Eileen was born December 9, 1964 in Havelock, North Carolina, daughter of Barbara Touhy Krantz and Everett Krantz. A graduate of Radford High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, Eileen was currently employed by PPM Property Management, working in Coal City, Morris

and Dwight. She was an active volunteer and served on the board of directors with Grapevine Mission in Dwight.

Eileen will be remembered for her love of fishing and watching her boys race.

Survivors include her fiance, Mark T. Chubb, and two sons, A.J. Meiferdt and Cody Meiferdt, all of Coal City; her mother of North Carolina; two brothers, Everett and James; two sisters, Valerie and Jeanne; numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Charity, and great-niece, Molly; and two step-children, Josh Chubb of Coal City and Megan (Derrick) Ruemler of Indiana; and four grandchildren: Madison, Gavin, Kolt and Clara.

Eileen was preceded in death by her father.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Eileen’s memory to her family for their distribution.
